Mango Phirni / Aam Ki Phirni
Phirni Is a Punjabi dessert. They can make various phirni’  s with fruit and nuts.  They can serve phirni in the small mud pots. I have already posted Phirni and strawberry phirni. Now it is a mango season so I tried mango phirni. The taste was so nice. It is same as our rice payasam , the only thing is they can use basmati rice.

Mango Phirni

Now let us see how to make
Preparation time        - 10  minutes
Soaking time - 30 minutes
Cooking time - 20 minutes
Serves - 4
Mango -1
Basmati rice - 2 tablsp
Badam - 6
Milk        - 2 cup
Sugar - 3 tablsp
Saffron - few
Pistachio         - 6
Wash and soak basmati rice. Soak badam in hot water. Peel the skin of badam and grind along with rice.

Boil milk in a pan. Add ground rice and badam paste and cook. Stir continuously till the rice is cooked well.

Add saffron in the little hot milk and add to the phirni. Add sugar and cook for some time till the sugar dissolves.

 Switch off the stove. Peel mango and chop. Grind in the mixer till smooth.

Add to the phirni and mix well with a whisk.

Mango Phirni

Serve hot or cold in the small mud pot. Sprinkle chopped pistachio and saffron over it.

Add sugar according to the sweetness of mango.
You  can add condensed milk also.
