Cauliflower Pepper Fry (Chettinad)
Cauliflower Pepper Fry is an easy and quick recipe for rice. We will always have pepper jeera powder in our kitchen. So we can make it in just 10 minutes. It will go well with vatha kulambu and pulao.

Cauliflower Pepper Fry (Chettinad)

Cauliflower Pepper Fry Ingredients:
Cauliflower - 1 medium
Onion - 1
Green chilli - 1
Pepper - ¼ tsp
Cumin seed - ¼ tsp
Turmeric powder - ¼ tsp
Salt - to taste
To temper
Oil - 2 tsp
Mustard - ¼ tsp
Urad dal - ¼ tsp
Curry leaves   - few
Cauliflower Pepper Fry Method:
Cut cauliflower into small florets. Cook cauliflower with salt and turmeric powder. Drain the water completely.

Dry roast pepper and cumin seed and pound it in a pestle and mortar coarsely.

Chop onion finely. Slit green chilli. Heat oil in a pan and add mustard and urad dal. When they crackle add curry leaves,onion and green chilli and sauté till onion becomes transparent.

 Add cooked cauliflower and cumin pepper powder and stir well. Serve hot with rice.

Note:
Always put cauliflower in to the hot water with salt before cooking (to remove worms).
